GOING DEEPER WITH GOD

It often starts out with a whisper or a voice in your head; "Go ahead, say this or say that because he/she did this or said that to you; go ahead, get even..." You know the drill. Satan is standing right there just waiting to give you the elbow in the ribs to manipulate your flesh when someone does something or says something you just don't like.

I'm talking of course about Satan's voice you so often hear when we are so hurt by another's words or actions. The offense hurts the most when we believe it is from another brother or sister in Christ. Anyone know what I'm talking about???? or ever been hurt?? I don't necessarily mean physically hurt but those words that wound a person's spirit-thats a deep wound. A wound that lasts, a wound that cuts deep inside. Some of you know exactly what I'm talking about. I know about these wounds, because I've been wounded by some of the closest persons to me and never seen it coming, if you know what I mean.

What I'm getting at with all this is; Satan is real! And it's our job as Christians to listen to Christ Jesus and His Word (Bible). We need to stop listening to Satan's lies and get on with business at hand. That "business at hand" is all laid out very simply in Mark 16:15. You see Satan has been trying to put up roadblocks to God's ministry since forever! Satan lies, he cheats, he steals, he robs, he destroys. He does everything he can do discourage and hurt us. He'll use whatever or whoever he can to do it. Jesus said himself that Satan has been a liar from the beginning and he's the king of liars. Satan shows up at our weakest moments, often when we have our guards down. He did that when Jesus was in the desert fasting and praying for 40 days and 40 nights. Jesus being God knew the schemes of the devil and used the Word of God to fend off Satan's lies and manipulations. Satan has always turned and twisted Bible scripture, and like with Eve Satan tried to twist scripture with Jesus. As I mentioned previously, Jesus already knew Satan's schemes and dealt with Satan right then and there with the Word of God. That is exactly what we must do.

In these last days before Jesus' return, Satan is becoming more and more active. We see it everywhere. Unfortunately, he's also active in the church. I cannot remember a time when I have seen so much upheaval in the body of Christ. It's in the pews, it's in the board meetings, and it's in the pulpit. The church is to be a place where people can come for healing and restoration through the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, people are running from some churches rather than to them. Instead of finding Christ, they found Satan.

I kid you not! One church has Sister Suzie (these are not real people I know) gossiping and thus chasing so and so out of the church, another church has Deacon George on a war path with Pastor Richard because he preached on whatever. Elder Vince is quitting the church because he didn't get his own personal parking spot when the new church lot was put in and, by the by, how many pastors are in the pulpit for the wrong reason???

The world is watching us. The question is by most unbelievers (in Christ) "What is the difference between the lives of those Christians and my life?" Well, if we act like the world does, we aren't any different are we?? Galatians 5:22 says that the fruit of the Spirit is "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control."

One of the many Bible verses that I am teaching my children is John 13:35 ; "All men shall know you are my disciples by the love that you show one another." Love, I believe, is the big key to Christianity. I'm in no way saying to tolerate sin. We need to definitely confront sin in our own life first and other's lives second. But, love brings restoration and reconciliation. We are to be like Jesus and love is what we should represent to a rapidly dying world out there. After all, isn't that what Jesus did for us?? Reconciling us to God the Father by loving us enough to die on the cross for our sins?? We as Bible believing Born-Again Christians are eternally pardoned of our sins by accepting the free of gift of salvation through Jesus Christ [God] who laid down His own life on the cross.

Thats right, its all about love. Man O' Man, there are a lot of hurting people out there that need the love of Jesus!! We need to be prepared to show them how sin without Christ Jesus is unforgiveable sin and they are on their way to eternal damnation without Christ.

Jesus' love motivates me every day to pray all the harder for those who hate and persecute me every day in and outside the church. I recognize there are wolves out there as the Bible describes them and even get the chance to pray for them too, but in the end it is the love of Christ that will conquer all men's and women's hearts if we/they let Him. I firmly believe it is the love of Christ through the Holy Spirit's working that saves men and women's souls and turns wickedness to triumph through Christ.

Finally,  to sum all this up, I want to share this simple mathematical formula that we here at Global Family Outreach believe; "Repentence + Forgiveness = Restoration." When we repent of our sins and forgive others of their sins God brings healing and restoration-every time not just sometimes. So don't forget when Brother Sam cuts you off in the church parking lot or when Tommy the Terrible sets you up again, go to them and tell them their sin in love. Give God a chance to bring healing and restoration. Again we believe whole heartedly in this mathematical formula. That is why we have seen so many people's lives changed around the world! Salvations, Healings and Miracles come when people truly give over all their lives and problems to Christ.

Lastly, I want to encourage all of you to please share any comments or questions you may have about this ministry. If the Lord leads, please send the Lord your best love gift so we may share the Lord's love and goodness around the world. Our address and donation information is on our contact page. Thank you and God bless you!

Sincerely,

Paul, Eric, Charissa and Jirah Waldmiller
