FEEDING CENTER SUCCESSFULLY OPENED

Global Family Outreach Ministry has successfully opened its first poor children's Feeding Center. As part of a tri-fold ministry, beyond feeding centers in the Philippines, the ministry also provides international evangelistic crusades and healing conferences

Evangelistic outreaches had already been on going in the Philippines, as well as healing conferences, and now the poor children's Feeding Centers were started again recently. These ministries are fulfillment of a vision from the Lord given to Pastor Paul Waldmiller founder of Global Family Outreach Ministry. Pastor Paul first visited the Philippines in 1999 and ever since has prayed the Lord's will and vision for the Feeding Centers. According to Pastor Paul, "God is so wonderful to let me see these poor children in the Philippines being fed both physically and spiritually."

"Starving children are never easy on the eyes. It is a difficult thing to watch a child slowly starve to death. The rice crisis has hit the Philippines especially hard because rice is all some have to eat. Without rice, there is no food whatsoever!"

Global Family Outreach Ministry feeds the children physically with rice with vegetables and meat. Before the meal, the children are introduced to Jesus as Lord and Savior with a Bible lesson.

Just below is the first report from Pastor Nena Bantolinao, who was placed in charge of the first Feeding Center by Pastor Paul Waldmiller. We ask that after you read the article to please take a look at the photos of the children. Each child's beautiful face tells a story of hope and of Jesus loving little children.

We ask also, if the Lord places love on your heart for these children, please prayerfully consider helping with a love gift today.

Salamat po! Thank you very much,
Global Family Outreach Staff

FROM BUENAVISTA, PHILIPPINES --

It is a dream come true, after several years of dreaming, desiring with prayer, trusting God for everything and the earnest desire of Pastor Paul Waldmiller. In spite of perilous up and down times in life that the FEEDING PROGRAM in the Philippines launched its first day of the program, served in Calvary Mission Church, San Isidro, Buenavista , Guimaras, Philippines, serving 68 children with hot meals, ( aroz caldo , rice  soup with chicken ) May 3,2008. Halleluya! Praise the Lord!

The verse we used in the Program, John 10:10 "I have come that they may have life and have it to the full ." The Lord Jesus gave life and what this present life needs. Both spiritual and physical. That is the Bible Lessons the children are to learn and after hot meals to fill their hungry stomach.

It was a touching and heart moving experience.

The children arrived very early on that day, in spite of the heavy rain during the night and still raining in the morning. They arrived by groups depending in their locality some accompanied by their parents more than a kilometer from their house.

On the first day we have orientation of the order of activities every Saturday:
8:00 arrival and practice of worship songs in tapes; 8:30-9:30 worship time includes opening of altar Bible and candle lighting, singing, Introducing the theme, Prayer time, Reading of the Scripture by a selected good reader (bata ), Special song, Bible Story, Memory verse, application to life, Closing song, and closing prayer.

After the worship time, divided into 3 departments: Preschoolers, Primaries, Juniors. This will give an opportunity for the teachers to talk personally to the kids about accepting Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior.

After the classes the children will gather in the church where they are being served by volunteer staff with hot meals. After that, they will be going home full of the love of Jesus and their stomach also full of nutritious foods.

Thanks to the kitchen staff who planned the menu that prepared and used vegetable around to extend the foods so that these kids can eat until they are full. We also planned that the menu has a piece of meat. It is a real treat for these kids to see a piece of meat in their foods, because they come from poor families which can even hardly eat rice 3x a day, how much more of a meat. The parents who came are also given foods if there are extra foods. We plan to have a program for the parents.

The FEEDING PROGRAM arrived timely during these times and it is a blessing! According to the Philippine government, there is a rice shortage; the price of rice is very high that it's hard to buy. Most families are affected that there will be a problem of hunger. Many school children will be more affected. Based on the reports of our local elementary school teacher that her pupils can't perform well in school because these kids come to school not having breakfast in their homes, the result is poor grades performance.

The Dept. of Education directed a program to solve this problem, to serve snacks to the school children and the parents will pay 3 pesos it did not last long and it was stopped because most of the parents can't afford to pay the contribution. This is my personal experience because I have a niece who went to this school. That's why the school children can't forget the time when Pastor Paul Waldmiller on his visit last September 2007 brought biscuits and cooked noodles and gave them free snacks. For them it was a real treat!

We are privileged as a church and Bible School to be a channel of blessings to serve these poor kids. This is what Christianity means, real Christianity not only in words but in deeds. CHRISTIANITY IN ACTION!

Seeing personally how these children are blessed when they ate their meals enthusiastically, I am specially blessed. We are looking forward for these children to become good Christians, responsible youth to their parents and community and church most of all.

The FEEDING CENTER is presently serving 68 indigent children.

Praise God for what He has done, for what He is doing, for what He is going to do!

Attached are photos.

God bless us all and the ministry He entrusted to our care.

Co-Servants,
Pastor Nena Bantolinao
