ENEMY ATTACKS ON THE MINISTRY

Dear GFOM Family,

How wonderful and glorious our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is!

It is my pleasure to report to you how God takes what satan and man has meant for evil, God has turned to good for God's glory.

So many events around the world point to the soon return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We here at Global Family Outreach Ministry see a persecution of the body of Christ world-wide. Myself included. As I share the following information, I would please ask you would pray for the person(s) in which I share. Please pray specifically they would repent and turn to Jesus also as their Lord and Savior. The Bible says that He wishes that no one would perish.

We have found that a local religious cult and a person active in this cult and involved with witchcraft have been also active in attempting to destroy God's ministry. This dangerous cult, with one person in particular is making phone calls to pastors and people in the Philippines spreading rumors and lies about our organization and about me in particular. Praise the Lord, this has had no ill effect on the true believers in Christ Jesus there or abroad. I am grateful that I can suffer this kind of persecution because the Bible said great is our reward for suffering persecution for His name. Also, I (we) are not the only ministry to ever suffer from satan's attacks and lies and probably not the last. I believe, however, we are truly doing the work of God because of such attacks. After all, if we weren't, we would not be picked on by satan and his people whom he controls.

Below is a report from Pastor Nena who is the administrator for our poor children's Feeding Center in the Philippines. She will share about the horrible typhoon which recently hit the Philippines.

Before I end sharing my part of the newsletter, I would ask you would please prayerfully give to this ministry your best offering and pray for us daily for the Lord's provision and blessing.

Thank you and God bless....

Pastor Paul
(please read on below)

UPDATE: Before Pastor Nena's report we are so pleased to announce we have recently sent 2000 pencils and rulers donated to this ministry along with Spanish language tracts to an orphanage in the country of Panama. Casa De Hogar Trisker-Boquete received these items (praise the Lord) and we hope to bless more children just like them all around the world.

REPORT ON TYPHOON & FEEDING CENTERS

Praise the Lord for His faithfulness, GFOM FEEDING PROGRAM has already surpassed the two months of its ministry in San Isidro, Buenavista, Guimaras, Philippines. God is good all the time!

Each week during Saturdays not only the regular comers come to church for worship and for feeding but also new comers too. Reasons that many new comers come it is because of the good news that spread around about the children's church and the feeding program.

Children who come to church goes home filled with stories from the Bible and with nutritious foods.

The feeding program brought great blessing to the family because of  food crisis here in the Philippines. Poor families can’t afford anymore to buy rice that cost over one hundred pesos per ganta (2.5 kilos.) and still increasing.

Because of the typhoon "Frank" that hit Iloilo province last June 21, the whole building of National Food Authority including the storage of rice for the whole Western Visayas was totally submerged with water. According to the reports the rice supplies for two months was totally submerged with water.

Last June 21, Saturday, early morning around 1:00 a.m., the typhoon brought heavy rains and strong winds and we were not able to serve the children in the church. I was thinking of requesting the kitchen volunteers to cook the food and pack it to deliver to their homes. But how can we do it, that we can’t even go outside our parsonage because of strong wind and heavy rains. When the storm calms down for a while, I went  inside the church building. While I was there, strong storm hits again. I talked to the Lord, "Lord, I know there are people around here that don’t have a dry place to stay this time, please send them here.” Then I went back to the parsonage, a few hours later a knock at the door, when I opened the door it was one of our kitchen  volunteers with her two sons, eldest two and a half years old and the younger one and a half  years. They left their house to seek shelter because the galvanized iron roof of their house was blown off by the strong winds. Two families evacuated into the parsonage on that day. I believe they are sent to us by God for refuge.

Because we were not able to serve the children Saturday, the Lord told us to served it in the school, in San Isidro Elementary School on Wednesday June 25 during their recess time. The school head gladly gave us  permission to feed the children . We have seen how the Lord multiplied the food. In the church we are feeding 50 plus children, but on that day the Lord fed 160 school children and 6 teachers. It reminds us of Jesus feeding five thousand people with 5 breads and two fishes. On that morning we saw small happy faces enjoying eating their meals, after their learning Bible stories.

Because of that, the Lord gave us the leading to have the Feeding Program in the school, on the first, second, and third Friday of the month. We also see the importance of church atmosphere for the children so, fourth Saturday and there is a month which has five weekends so we will have fifth Saturday in the church. The main goal is to follow up carefully their spiritual growth.

Please continue to pray that more children will accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. And can experience the love of Jesus  both spiritually through Bible lessons they learned and the foods they enjoyed each time they come to our Feeding Center.

To God be the glory! Halleluyah!
